The PIC Netball club originated from this parish in 1953 under Mama Tangimetua Teia's leadership, to provide for the spiritual and recreational needs of its growing population. In the early years, the club patron was usually the minister's wife or a Church member which changed as the sport has evolved from a social gathering, to a higher professional level. PIC is a club with a strong proud heritage. We have built and maintain a strong extended family environment for all our members.
Extracted from the PIC "Celebrarting the 45th Anniversary of the Pacific Islanders' Presbyterian Church Netball Club" 45 book, some of our past and present parishioners, administrators, players, coaches tell their stories:

We had 6 players represented in the Capital Shakers with Waimarama as coach, we have had many players representing Wellington through the Regional Age Grade Teams as well as the NPC team. We also have players who have represented Samoa and the Cook Islands.
As we draw closer to the end of the 2006 netball season it is safe to say that for all our five teams it has been a very successful season, PIC 3 and PIC 5 are at present first equal in their grades with PIC 4 playing for a spot in the top 4.
Our two Premier I teams both reached the semi-finals and won a spot in the finals. For 2006 PIC (Green) will play PIC (Black) at the Event Centre Thursday 31 August so whatever the result it is confirmed that PIC is the top 2 teams in Wellington
On. behalf of the PIC Netball Club we would like to thank- Rev and Mrs Tofilau, the Session and our Parish for your continuous support and prayers and may we continue God's ministry in the community through our PIC Netball Club,
Yours in Christ
