RECYCLE
REDUCE - RE-USE - RECYCLE
recycle symbol Rev. Tofilau reiterated the message about saving our world as we are caretaker's of God's earth. Devastating effects of climate change due to pollution and litter amongst many other factors is affecting our island homes through rising sea levels.

The Combined Women's Fellowship initiated this project to help waste and rubbish go to the right places, not filling the tip with everything we throw away and reduce our rubbish collection costs.

Please play your part.

    MANSE PROJECT UPDATE
"We give thanks to you, O God. We give thanks to you! We proclaim how great you are and tell of the wonderful things you have done." - Psalms 75 : 1

Kia Orana, Talofa lava, Greetings to you all in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The upgrade of our Parish Manse is only 2 weeks away from completion. The Board of Managers who have been managing this project has endeavoured to ensure that our Congregation is kept informed throughout this process. It has been challenging but we praise God for his continued guidance that we were able to stay optimistic and focussed on achieving a positive outcome.

There will be a full account on the history of our project at our Parish Manse Opening. This has been a great learning process, it is very important to get the process and procedures right at the beginning of the project. We ensured that we understood and signed off on the conditions and guidelines of this project before we commenced. We were well supported externally by the Wellington Presbytery and PCANZ National Office.
We also had to consult with Wellington City Council, who also had a lot of procedural requirements through local government.

The main objective for upgrading our Parish Manse was to provide our parish with the most economical and sustainable outcome for our current and long term goal. It was also important for us to have a Parish Manse that will service the culture and traditional aspects of our Ministry.

We have a great Project Team - consisting of our Project Manager/Architect Steve Meredith, our Building Contractors Duncan & Taylor constructions, and our Quantity Surveyor. Our Manse sub-committee works directly with the project team and we have been having fortnightly meetings since the project commenced. We hope that you will be able to meet these people at our Opening.

We are pleased to advise that our Parish Manse Opening will take place on Saturday 6 August 2011, 11.00am at 31 Ellesmere Avenue, followed by our Reception and Entertainment at Nokise House. Rev & Mrs Tofilau will move into the Parish Manse after the opening. We pray and hope that our Heavenly Father will lead us safely to this wonderful celebration.

Thank you to our Ekalesia for your continuous prayers and support the warmth of your prayers and advice and guidance throughout this process has been invaluable
